Privacy policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
Undistracted runs Events (events.michaellipschultz.com), a service that announces artists' shows on Instagram, by email and through calendar feeds. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to have it deleted. Questions: [email protected].
Artists who use Events
What we collect
- Your name, bio, email address and time zone.
- The shows you add: titles, dates, venues, prices, descriptions and images.
- If you connect Instagram: your Instagram account ID, username and an access token that lets Events publish on your behalf.
- A record of each announcement we schedule or send, and whether it worked.
How we use it
- To publish the posts, stories and emails for the shows you add, and to list your shows in your calendar feed.
What we do with Instagram
Events only publishes posts and stories for shows you add in your Events dashboard. It does not read your messages, comments, followers or other content, and it does not post anything you haven't scheduled. You can disconnect Instagram from your dashboard at any time, or remove Events in Instagram's settings under apps and websites. When you do, we delete your access token.
Fans who sign up for show dates
When you sign up on an artist's page, we store your email address, which artist you signed up for, and when you agreed and confirmed. We use it only to email you that artist's show announcements. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Subscribing to a calendar feed doesn't send us any personal information.
Who else handles the data
We don't sell personal information or share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers to run Events:
- Meta (Instagram), to publish posts and stories you schedule.
- Our email provider, to deliver emails.
- Our hosting provider, which stores the database and images.
Event details and images you publish are public by design: they appear in your calendar feed, in emails to your fans and on Instagram.
How long we keep it
- Artist accounts and shows: until you ask us to delete them.
- Instagram access tokens: until you disconnect, or about 60 days after they stop being refreshed.
- Fan email addresses: until the fan unsubscribes, after which we keep only the record of the unsubscribe so we don't email them again.
Deleting your data
- Instagram data: remove Events in Instagram (Settings, then Apps and websites). Instagram tells us, and we delete your Instagram account ID, username and token automatically.
- Everything else: email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll delete your account, shows, photos and fan list within 30 days.
- Fans: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us to delete your address entirely.
Depending on where you live, you may have other rights over your data, such as access, correction and portability. Email us to use them.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections. Each artist's dashboard is reached through a private link, so keep that link to yourself.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes we'll email artists.
